UFCWS
Content Policy
The UFCWS, a subsidiary of
Jabez International, Inc,
(JIInc),
has upheld strong ethical and moral standards in regard to quality
assurance and protection of privacy for business and corporate
clients since the very inception of our company.
Without
question, it is a globally consistent concern in all nations about quality
assurance with products and services as well as protection of the privacy of
personal information. This was clearly made evident at a Spring 2001 press
conference in Florida which was hosted by GlobalProtector.net, (GPN), the first
Worldwide filtered Internet access company to gain ICCS™
Certification under the iWatchDog
Program.
At the press conference there were delegates, pastors, and clergy
from all over the world who spoke and shared their thoughts in regard to the
Internet and the strong concern for a number of issues, such as quality
assurance with products and services and protection of privacy of personal
information with the use of the Internet in
their country. It was unanimous in opinion of the need for people
across the globe to unite together in a peaceable accord to make a consumer-safe
Internet a reality. It was a chance in a lifetime honor for
UFCWS™
staff
to be a part of such an historical event as well as being given global
recognition of the iWatchDog
program in an International forum of this magnitude.
According
to Ray Soular, the founder of the SafeSurf voluntary rating system who spoke at this
press conference, "With efforts
put forth by the UFCWS under the guidelines of the iWatchDog
Program, business and corporate consumers
and vendors can be assured that quality products and services that perform as
the advertising claims can finally be realized."
Following
the press conference the JIInc
staff had a renewal in their need to support the efforts of their fellow
associates Internationally in conducting business consistent with FTC, EU, and
UNESCO standards.
The UFCWS
agrees with
UNESCO as well as the delegates we met at the GPN press conference,
that there is broad international consensus that the need for quality assurance
in regard to products and services as well as the privacy of personal
information is a global issue, it's personal to all of us.
UFCWS
Foundational Concept
The
UFCWS
has adopted a very strong foundational concept in our operations of our
organization. We affirm the belief that to serve the needs of others with humility and
patience, is far greater an honor than to be a master of fools. This means
in essence that we prefer not to be in the position of an organization that sits
on it's haunches and is recognized for setting a standard, we would rather be
recognized for serving others with the purpose of a standard which is
established. There are two types of people, you have dreamers who dream of
accomplishing a task, then you have the visionaries who envision an idea or
concept and make it a functional reality with productive purpose. We have
chosen for the precept of our morality of trade
to be based upon the established policies and affirmations from
UNESCO
Purposes and Functions, the
Bible,
.Kids
Domains, Inc. Content Policy, and the
Qur'an. Our efforts
must always be conducted without bias of any kind. Our Content Policy will
be continue to be established based upon the influence of the examples set forth
by various recognized International Organizations, Foundations, and
International Legal Codes that are focused on a peaceable method to provide a
consistent and authoritative perspective on our business trade.
UFCWS
Primary Goal
The primary goal of our
efforts has been and will continue to be to organize and support the following;
- provision and
enforcement of the iWatchDog
Program, a structured program developed to provide an
ICCS
Certification seal which a web site, product, or service can bare. This
seal signifies the web site, product, or service is consistent with the
iWatchDog
Program guidelines which are applicable to that particular web site, product,
or service, as well as being consistent with State, Federal, COPPA, and EU
guidelines. There will be two certifications, one for Commercial, the other
for Private Sector/Household Consumers ChildSafe
verification.
- mediation for all
fee-based ICCS
Certified web sites, products, and services for a mutual resolve in the event
of a situation where a product or service is purchased by a consumer who is
dissatisfied with it and cannot come to a mutual resolve with the vendor.
The UFCWS
will provide this service free of charge. In the event of an issue not
being resolved without legal assistance, it will be the responsibility of the
vendor and consumer to obtain their own legal representation and the UFCWS
shall not be held liable for any associated fees incurred by either party.
- a
community of ChildSafe
websites dedicated to children under the age of 13, that provide an
interesting, educational, fun, and growing experience and are consistent with
COPPA and EU regulations. These web sites will have a mandatory .kids
extension and be hosted in a fee based ICCS
Certified Internet community. These web sites will be subject to
periodic auditing to ensure consistency with iWatchDog
and COPPA guidelines.
-
provision and enforcement of a Privacy Statement certification program which
will be governed under the iWatchDog
program. This certification will ensure the privacy statement in
question is keeping a consistent consistent effort to be compliant with COPPA
and EU guidelines.
- support
and endorse all web sites, products, and services which are using the
fee-based ICCS
Certification including and especially so, any products or services which
contribute to the safety of a child in the use of the Internet.
The UFCWS, will have a formal agreement from our
fee-based registrants to abide by our policies via a binding private contract.
The UFCWS
will also have a formal online agreement from all ICCS
Certification applicants which states clearly that the applicant agrees to abide
by UFCWS
policies, terms, and conditions including iWatchDog
Program guidelines.
UFCWS
Policy Guidelines
The
UFCWS

UFCWS

will be subject to prosecution to the fullest extent of the law where

Abusive/Profanity/Obscene and/or Hate
Language:
Language
is a vital form of communication for positive and productive ends. The
only problem in the equation is that some persons choose to take that form of
communication and use it for abusive purposes that can cause serious mental harm
to a child or other person. It is common knowledge that children are like
a tape recorder when they are young, recording every word they hear and applying
it as fact, and oftentimes patterning their lifestyle based upon the
communication given. It is because of this fact that the UFCWS
has adopted the listing below as part of our content policy guidelines within
the iWatchDog
Program.
Association in any manner with items listed below in a web site's content either
express or implied will not be tolerated and will be grounds for revocation of
the ICCS

of the ICCS
Licensing Seal. This includes the product or service referenced on the web site
if it is ICCS Certified.
This
includes the following..
-
advertising of alcoholic products
-
promotion by and for the alcohol industry
- links
to alcohol industry sites,
-

Firearms:
Firearms are an issue of debate
among many but one factor everyone agrees upon is that firearms can kill or
cause injury. Based upon that fact, the
UFCWS
stands upon the position of no association with firearms in any manner in the
content of a web site which is part of the iWatchDog

Gambling:
Gambling
is a form of entertainment that just as alcohol tends to become a source for
loss of finances and integrity. It is the position of the UFCWS
that any association in any manner with items listed below in a web site's

Licensing Seal.

- links to the above material will be
strictly prohibited on ICCS
Certified websites.
Nudity and Sexual
Material:
The sale,
marketing/promotion, distribution of any kind of nudity or sexual material will
not be allowed in the content of a web site. The basis for determination of
what content is considered to fall under this topic is based upon US, EU, and
MPI Standards. Association in any manner with items listed below in a web

usage of tobacco products is staggering. This is a major
concern that the
UFCWS
desires to help fight. It is the standing policy of the
UFCWS that

by the UFCWS
in ANY manner. It is the standing policy of the
